This year and for a month, I have the chance to work on the organization of the Alpine Ski World Championships held in Méribel and Courchevel from February 06 to 19, 2023.
Within the team that takes care of television, we are some guides to help set up cameras in hard-to-reach places, or simply on the track, which looks more like an ice rink than snow…
This is a very interesting experience that allows you to realize everything that happens before having the live image on your TV. From the installation of the fiber optic network on the edge of the track, the assembly of the cameras, the image processing in the control room, the whims of the director, the verification by the Fis, the coordination with the other teams etc… a huge job for a beautiful result on the screen!
Another week on site and back to Chamonix where despite the lack of snow all the beautiful classics are skiable… there are a few free days left here and there… do not hesitate to make a phone call or an email, the last availability will leave quickly.
